Welcome to Zion Lutheran
We are glad you are interested in joining us at Zion. All are very welcome. Below are some of the common questions we hear from visitors, we hope these will answer any questions you may have. If you have any further questions, please email us and let us know.
During worship
you will be invited to engage in beautiful music, listen to a thoughtful sermon, and take part in Holy Communion.
Communion
You don’t need to be a Lutheran, or a member, or even a grown-up to take part in Communion at Zion – All are very welcome!
Everything you need to participate will be on the screens at the front of the church; there are also bulletins available in the back.
Children are especially welcome at Zion and in worship!
Each week, we have a children’s sermon for children and youth, which is then followed by “Children’s Chapel” held in another space that engages kiddos in age-appropriate ways. Kids return back to the sanctuary right before Communion.
In addition, we also have a spacious kid-friendly area with chairs and books near the entrance. Upstairs, there is a “comfort room” for any who would prefer it, which has space for parents to engage in worship while children crawl, play, and even sleep. We also have a staffed nursery for children ages 0-3 starting at 9am through the end of worship every week.
Youth
Youth 8 and older are invited to acolyte, help with tech, read lessons, or otherwise assist in worship leadership.
Getting There
Zion Lutheran is located just off main street and I-45, we are in the Woodlands Heights neighborhood. The church campus is located on [Pecore and Beauchamp] There are two parking lots to choose from, one in the back of the church off of (street) and a larger lot across from the church on Beauchamp.
Come as you are!
There is no “dress code”. You’ll see everything from shorts to jeans to suits.
Communion
Each Sunday, we enjoy an “open table”. You do NOT have to be a certain age, a Lutheran, or even a Christian to enjoy the goodness of God. This is God’s table and ALL are very welcome.
